Looking ahead into 2024, well positioned for growth

News | 12 Jan 2024

As we stride into 2024, the UK housing market is once again poised for another year of fluctuation, shaped largely by economic shifts.

The first few months of any new year are often buoyant for new home sales following a pre-Christmas lull. The big difference of course in early 2024 could be that for some, this demand may not arrive as quickly as many would hope.

At Elivia Homes however, we stand optimistic and ready to navigate the challenges, and capitalise on the opportunities that lie ahead.

Despite market whispers of house price pressure and hurdles from high, albeit lowering mortgage rates, at Elivia, we are still seeing demand outpace supply, with buyers very much in the market for purchasing quality new build properties in the right locations, which have a strong focus on design and energy-efficient features.

For us, sustainability is more than a buzzword – it's in our DNA. We're committed to homes that not only meet modern design standards but also contribute to a greener, more cost-effective future. In 2024, we're rooting for a collective industry push towards clearer sustainability standards. We're optimistic about the widespread adoption of eco-friendly technologies and innovative construction methods.

Addressing the perennial issue of land delays, we would like to see the Sunak administration give local authorities the resources they need. With a robust pipeline of over 4,500 homes and solid financial backing, we’re confident we can surpass our ambitious growth targets, particularly if the government takes steps to unblock the planning system.
